Ceremony Must-Haves vs. Nice-to-Haves

Planning your ceremony doesn’t have to be overwhelming — it’s all about knowing what’s essential and what’s just a lovely bonus.

Must-Haves:

  • A registered celebrant (hi, that’s me!)

  • Your Notice of Intended Marriage (lodged at least one month before)

  • Two witnesses over the age of 18

  • Legal vows (specific wording required by law)

  • A signed marriage certificate

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Personal vows

  • Rings

  • Readings or rituals

  • A killer playlist

  • Beautiful styling or a ceremony arch

  • A well-placed tissue or two!
